Terraco Terramix Fine
Product Overview - Terramix Fine is formulated for plastering and repair of exterior and interior surfaces. - It gives a hard, smooth, water resistant, high quality finish, suitable for painting and wall papering. - Terramix Fine is trowel / spray applied to a thickness of 1mm to 3mm and levelled with a steel float. - Smooth finishing can be achieved with a wooden / foam float when the Terramix Fine has set. - The float should be moistened during the smoothing operation. Properties - Ready to use - Smooth surface - Excellent adhesion - Water resistant - Crack resistant Areas Of Use - Plastering and repairing of cast-in-situ concrete - Lightweight concrete - Fair-faced dense concrete - Concrete blockwork - Brick work Application Method Surface Preparation: - Ensure the surface to be covered is free of loose particles, dust, dirt, grease, oil, and paint. - Absorbent and porous substrates should be moistened with water prior to the application of Terramix. Bonding: - Under extreme climatic conditions and on very absorbent or porous surface the standard code of practice for the use of cementitious products should be followed. Priming and/or the addition of Terrabond A to the mixing water in the ratio of 1:15 is recommended. Mixing: - Mix thoroughly with the recommended water addition in a high speed mixer (such as the Terraco SM 50 or SM 100) or with a hand agitator for 3 – 5 minutes. In normal conditions, let Terramix stand for 5 minutes, then re-stir and use. Application: - Terramix is trowel applied and levelled with a steel float. Smooth finishing can be achieved with a wooden or foam float when the Terramix has ‘set’. - The float should be moistened during the smoothing operation. - A completely smooth surface is obtained if loose particles are removed with a soft brush when the Terramix is dry. - Terramix should not be allowed to stand unused in spray equipment for longer than 30 minutes. - Clean tools and equipment with water after use.
