Product Overview - Terrafix W22 is a high strength flexible wall tile adhesive with excellent nonslumpand extended open time characteristics. - Terrafix W22 complies with the requirements as per EN12004 and passes all tests required for C2TE classified adhesives. - Terrafix W22 is suitable for interior and exterior walls. Properties - Excellent adhesion - Non-slump - Easy workability - Water resistant - Extended open time - Excellent flexibility Areas Of Use - As a high strength non-slump ceramic tile adhesive for laying stone - Mosaic - Marble - Natural stones Vitrified tiles on masonry substrates such as sand/cement render - Precast concrete - Gypsum board - Cement fibre board Application Method Surface Preparation: - Ensure that the surface to be covered is clean and free of foreign matter. - Absorbent and porous substrate should be wetted thoroughly with water prior to the application of Terrafix W22. - Dusting surfaces should be treated with a penetrating primer. Mixing: - Add about 5.6-6 litres of water to 20kg of Terrafix W22 and mix thoroughly to a thick and creamy consistency. - Let it stand for 5 minutes, re-stir and apply. Application: - Apply Terrafix W22 in a layer approximately 3mm thick to the surface with the smooth side of a notched trowel. - Pull the trowel through the applied layer with the notched edge. - Push the tiles into place so that full adhesion is obtained. Fix tiles before the adhesive has surface dried. - Plan work accordingly. - Prepared material must be used within 1 hour. Spacing: - To ensure even spacing, tile spacers of the required thickness are recommended. Grouting - Refer to Terragrout data sheet for details. Expansion Joints - Expansion joints, when necessary, should be incorporated in the design stage.
